processing donations preparing items for sale pricing donations loading/unloading donation trucks cleaning & organizing beautifying sales floor

We strive to keep our operating costs low as possible to maximize the amount of money that goes directly to benefit your community, and volunteers are one of the ways to achieve this.

Youth must be 16 to volunteer on their own. We welcome teenagers ages 14 & 15 to volunteer with a parent/guardian present at all times.

ATTIRE: Acceptable attire includes a t-shirt, shorts or jeans, and sneakers. Please make sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty, possibly torn or stained. NO flip-flops, Toms, Crocs, or any open toed/back shoes.

Habitat volunteers come together from all walks of life to build stronger, safer communities. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, volunteering with Habitat Hillsborough is a rewarding experience for all involved, and one that improves the community you share.

Construction volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals and alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Join us in building a world where everyone has a place to call home!

 Details:

Construction volunteers MUST be 16.. Please plan on showing up on time and staying for your entire shift. Split shifts are not allowed.

WHAT TO WEAR 

Sturdy shoes that are closed toe and heel (sneakers or work boots). NO flip-flops, Toms, Foot Glove, Crocs, or any open toed/back shoes allowed. Please make sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty, possibly torn, or possibly stained. Acceptable attire includes a t-shirt, shorts or jeans, and sneakers. 

WHAT TO BRING

Lunch and snacks - Habitat does not provide food. If your group is not providing lunch, please bring your own. Water Bottle- We will have extra water bottles on site however, we recommend being prepared with additional water to stay hydrated.  Tools and protective gear will be provided, if you would like to bring your own, please make sure they're labeled.
