No experience is required to be a volunteer, join us on this nationally recognized holiday known as Giving Tuesday
Construction volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals and alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Join us in building a world where everyone has a place to call home!
DETAILS
- Construction volunteers MUST be 16 .
- Please plan on showing up on time, and staying for your entire shift. Split shifts are not allowed.
WHAT TO WEAR
- Sturdy shoes that are closed toe and heel (sneakers or work boots). NO flip-flops, Toms, FootGlove, Crocs, or any open toed/back shoes allowed.
- Please make sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty, possibly torn, or possibly stained.
- Acceptable attire includes a t-shirt, shorts or jeans, and sneakers.
WHAT TO BRING
- Lunch and snacks - Habitat does not provide food. If your groups is not providing lunch, please bring your own.
- Water Bottle*** - We will have extra water bottles on site however due to covid-19 we have ceased the use of a communal water jug. Please be prepared to bring bring water and even additional water to stay hydrated
- Tools and protective gear will be provided, if you would like to bring your own, please make sure they're labeled.
- Masks are mandatory throughout the work day and we ask that you please practice social distancing. If we find that any volunteer is repeatedly disregarding any safe practice protocols he or she may be asked to leave.
