2022 Veterans Week of Service

Serving Those Who Have Served

Volunteering on the Veterans Build Home Preservation Sites

During this week-long event, Veterans Build participants (individuals and teams of volunteers) will schedule one full day of work at a designated home site to repair, re-construct or rejuvenate the home exterior of a limited-income veteran homeowner in Hillsborough County. This work may include pressure washing, scraping, caulking, painting, minor soffit/fascia repair, yard clean-up, additional landscaping, porch repairs and accessible ramps.NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. All tools and hard hats are provided. Volunteers work under the supervision of construction professionals.  NOTE: Volunteer Registration for home preservation shifts are OPEN to sign up to help for Veterans Build home preservation WEEK OF SERVICE, First week of November 2022. 

Sponsors and volunteers have been recruited from all over the Tampa Area to support these projects. Volunteers will help with a number of exterior home repairs along with the guidance of our Habitat Hillsborough team. Volunteers are a vital part of making a change in the lives of our veteran community members and we thank you all for supporting this mission!
